HVAC/ Refrigeration Service Technician

RSC Mechanical is looking to expand our team and is seeking Refrigeration Service Technicians. If you’re an experienced technician who communicates well and goes the extra mile, we want to hear from you.   Job Responsibilities • Service, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC and self-contained refrigeration systems • Work on split systems, package units, heat pumps, condensing units, and controls • Repair self-contained cases, coolers, freezers, and ice machines • Perform preventive and general maintenance • Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues • Handle refrigerants safely in compliance with EPA regulations • Communicate professionally with customers, dispatch, and team members • Complete digital work orders and required documentation • Participate in on-call rotation after training • Travel locally as needed   Qualifications  • Experience and working knowledge of HVAC and commercial refrigeration preferred.  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.  • Ability to perform effectively in fast-paced and high-pressure environments.  • Self-starter capable of working independently and in a team setting.  • Customer-focused mindset with strong communication skills.  • Technicians are expected to provide their own standard hand tools.  • Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and digital work order systems.  • Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation after training and travel as needed.    Schedule   • Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with overtime as required.    On-Call Requirements • Participation in an on-call rotation following the training period.
