Ironworkers (Journeyman)

Calgary, AB | Installations About the Opportunity cam|industrial is looking for experienced Journeyman Ironworkers to join our growing installation team in Calgary. Our technicians work in a fast paced, controlled environment responding to the needs of our diverse group of customers. Our technicians service a wide range of industries ranging from Oil and Gas, Energy, Food and Dry-Goods. Our diversity has allowed us to grow in every economy with consistent sustainable increase. Qualifications • Interprovincial Red Seal and/or Journeyman Ironworker certification • Valid Driver’s license • Minimum of 5 years’ experience erecting steel structures • Fluency in oral and written English is required • Ability to read blueprints and schematics • Current EWP and Fall Protection certificates • Telehander and forklift experience an asset Responsibilities • Repair and install warehouse pallet racking systems, erecting structural steel at various job sites in Alberta and BC. • Willingness and ability to travel is necessary. • Accurately read blueprints and follow project drawings. • Install miscellaneous steel as required. • Adhere diligently to safe work procedures, regulations and policies. • Work at heights in a variety of environments. • Provide training and mentorship to junior workers. • Take company paid training and stay current existing training. • Manage company vehicle and tools. • Complete paperwork and work orders accurately and timely. • Interface with internal colleagues as well as external clients. • Complete daily safety paperwork. • Ability to lift 50lbs • Operate various equipment (forklifts, telehandlers…) • Operate various power tools specific to the job Additional Preferred Training and Skills • CSTS / CSO / BSO • First Aid / CPR • WHMIS 2015 • CWB Welding Ticket • Attention to detail • Desire to learn and grow • Strong communication skills • Ability to provide exceptional customer service Job Type & Schedule • Full-time (8-hour day shift Monday to Friday) • In-person • Overtime available • Weekends as needed Benefits • Casual dress • Company events • Dental care • Disability insurance • Employee assistance program • Extended health care • Life insurance • On-site parking • Paid time off • Vision care Experience • Installing Steel Structures: 5 years (preferred) Licence/Certification • Red Seal and/or Journeyman Ironworker Ticket (preferred) Please submit a cover letter and resume.
