This is an opportune moment to join TAG, particularly as we expand rapidly. TAG is seeking a seasoned Installation Technician/Foreman to become a vital part of our growing team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Comprehend the project scope to adequately plan, manage, and execute the necessary work.
• Identify scope changes and adjust plans accordingly.
• Lead and manage teams, resources, and equipment throughout the project.
• Optimize workforce deployment and productivity.
• Maintain open communication with Superintendents and Project Managers to address potential issues timely.
• Function as both a leader and a collaborator in the successful completion of project tasks.
• Utilize tools and equipment correctly and efficiently.
• Oversee daily activities among crew members, subcontractors, and equipment to ensure timely and budget-compliant project completion.
• Implement best practices for the efficient use of materials and labor.
• Plan work effectively to enhance project progress while prioritizing safety.
• Review and monitor construction schedules to ensure milestones are met.
• Ensure company equipment is operated safely and maintained properly.
• Read and interpret project plans and specifications with ease.
• Operate equipment as necessary.
• Assist project leaders in obtaining necessary approvals, clearances, and inspections.
Employee Management:
• Supervise employee attendance and participation on-site.
• Delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively while providing guidance and leadership to team members.
• Facilitate communication between the company and employees regarding various employment matters.
• Adhere to relevant employment legislation for effective personnel management.
• Address employee concerns thoroughly and promptly.
• Collaborate with Human Resources on recruitment, training, and development efforts.
• Apply progressive discipline policies fairly when necessary.
• Additional supervisory duties as required.
Safety Commitment:
• Foster a culture of safety through adherence to the company's safety program.
• Conduct daily and weekly safety briefings and inspections.
• Review risk assessments and safe work plans before starting projects.
• Collaborate with the Safety Coordinator to investigate incidents and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
• Work in a manner that prioritizes safety and the well-being of oneself and others.
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
• 5 to 7 years of experience within the construction industry.
• 3 to 5 years of leadership experience as a Construction Foreman.
• Valid Driver's License required.
Working Conditions:
• Work will take place at construction sites, both indoors and outdoors.
• Overtime and night shifts may be required to meet deadlines.
• This role demands physical dexterity and the ability to operate a computer and other equipment.
• Regular standing, walking, and lifting up to 100 pounds are integral to the job.
