Carpenter / Framer

Overview We are seeking skilled and dedicated carpenters to join our construction team. Minimum 5 years of experience. We have steady work with 3 residential developers in the city building prefab & stick frame houses, duplexes, and basements. Work is mostly based in South Calgary. Occasional work as far as Chestermere and Okotoks Responsibilities • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to accurately execute framing projects • Construct walls, floors, roofs, and other structural components • Operate heavy equipment safely • Use hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, assemble, and install framing materials • Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes • Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and maintain quality standards Requirements • Valid drivers license and reliable transportation • Proven experience in construction, carpentry, or related fields with a focus on framing work • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery operation • Strong understanding of construction techniques and materials used in framing projects • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the workday • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail • Physical stamina to work in various weather conditions and stand for extended periods • Valid certification or relevant licensing is a plus • Good attitude and ability to work efficiently as a team or independently Benefits • Overtime after 8 hours • Extra paid break • Tool and safety gear reimbursement • Telehandler on site • Sick days/PTO • Regular team-building events Job Type: Full-time Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour Benefits: • Paid time off Ability to commute/relocate: • Calgary, AB T2Y 4E9: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Education: • AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred) Experience: • Framing carpentry: 5 years (required) Licence/Certification: • Driving Licence (required) • Fall protection certification (preferred) • Telehandler operator certification (preferred) Work Location: In person
