Job Title:Mobile HVAC Technician
Shift: 1st Shift | MondayFriday | 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
Compensation: $30$35 per hour
Location: Mobile Role (Company Van Provided) | Sacramento, CA 95815

Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to join our Sacramento-based mobile operations team. This is a field service role supporting light commercial properties throughout the assigned territory.
You will be equipped with a company van and tools and will work independently across multiple sites, delivering preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance services. This position requires strong technical expertise, a solid understanding of commercial HVAC systems and controls, and the ability to build trusted relationships with clients. Participation in an on-call rotation is required.
What Youll DoHVAC Service & Preventative Maintenance
• Perform comprehensive preventative maintenance on standard package and split HVAC systems, including:
• Inspecting and replacing belts and pulleys
• Cleaning condensate drain lines
• Testing compressors, fan motors, and blower motors
• Inspecting burners, heat exchangers, and all safety controls
• Diagnose and repair airflow and ducting issues.
• Service and repair steam and hot water boiler systems.
• Safely handle refrigerants in full compliance with EPA regulations.
• Troubleshoot and repair system failures involving:
• Compressors and condensing units
• Circuit boards and contactors
• Refrigerant leaks
• Copper piping repairs and brazing
General Maintenance Support
• Complete assigned work orders in accordance with company procedures and safety standards.
• Perform minor plumbing repairs such as clearing drains, repairing leaks, and replacing fixtures.
• Perform minor electrical repairs within state guidelines, including replacing switches, outlets, fixtures, bulbs, and ballasts.
• Conduct light carpentry, drywall repairs, and painting to maintain facilities in professional condition.
• Perform service inspections and asset inspections as required.
Technology & Reporting
• Use a tablet or smartphone to:
• Access, document, and close work orders
• Submit service reports and inspection photos
• Complete timesheets, expense reports, and purchase logs
Customer Service & Communication
• Maintain consistent and professional communication with customers and internal teams.
• Provide estimates for larger service or repair projects.
• Build strong working relationships with clients, vendors, and team members.
• Participate in required safety training and weekly safety meetings.
What Were Looking ForExperience & Certifications
• Minimum 5 years of HVAC and general maintenance experience, including electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
• Experience servicing commercial or industrial HVAC equipment.
• Two-year HVAC technical certificate or state-approved HVAC license required.
• EPA Universal Refrigeration License required.
• Valid drivers license in good standing.
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation.
Education
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Additional trade certifications preferred.
Technical & Professional Skills
• Strong understanding of commercial HVAC controls and sequence of operations.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, safety guidelines, and operating procedures.
• Comfortable using mobile technology and work order systems.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
• Commitment to OSHA standards and safe work practices.
